What is Warper anyway? Warper is the party for people interested in getting in on the ground floor of the latest evolution in DJ culture. Conceived by live electronic music performers to build community, showcase creativity, and share knowledge in the NY area and beyond. Your hosts, Shakey and Moldover, schedule the evening to include feature performers, open electronics jams, and special events in a fluid and energetic environment appealing to both participants and party goers. Warper will be held monthly at various NY and Brooklyn venues and will additionally include all-ages parties, premium shows, and events on the road. Savvy club-goers can look forward to partying to a program of music created and remixed with the power and flexibility of the latest music technology. Music performers and creators are encouraged to bring their laptops, instruments, drives, controllers, and ideas to share and showcase.

This party is for ANYONE who likes good music, and we've got oodles of it commin'atcha live! Do performers have to use any specific tools (software)?
If you're playing at Warper you can use ANYTHING YOU WANT. We recommend trying software, slide whistles and household appliances, but it's totally up to you! Is this party sponsored by any company?
Warper is sponsored ONLY by two crazy music lovers named Moldover and Shakey. They tried to form a company once called SHAKEMOLD ENTERPRISES but they immediately fired each other and it went bankrupt. Do performers need to have a high skill level?

Do you audition people?
We thought about doing it up like American Idol with laptops, but where would we find judges with convincing British accents? Nope, just sign up in advance and you're on! How can i volunteer to help?
